Senior Accountant - Trading Industry Experience

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation.
• Handle inventory accounting, stock valuation, inventory reconciliation, and cost control procedures.
• Monitor import and export transactions, including LC documentation, shipping documents, customs-related accounting, and supplier payments.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure accurate recording of purchase orders, sales invoices, freight charges, duties, and landed costs.
• Reconcile inventory movement with warehouse and logistics records.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and banks regarding trade transactions.
• Manage VAT filing and ensure compliance with UAE accounting and tax regulations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Maintain proper documentation and support during internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a Senior Accountant in the Trading, Import & Export industry.
• Strong experience in inventory accounting and stock management.
• Knowledge of import/export documentation, LC procedures, shipping terms, and customs processes.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting software such as SAP, Tally, Oracle, Zoho, or similar systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and team management abilities.
• UAE experience preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience handling multi-warehouse inventory.
• Knowledge of landed cost calculation and supply chain accounting.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA is an advantage.
• Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
