The ideal candidate is a certified accountant who can independently handle financial reporting and ensure zero compliance gaps.---Must

Prepare and file VAT returns, reconcile VAT ledgers, and handle FTA queries--

We are seeking a qualified Accountant to manage financial reporting and accounting operations ..

You will own month-end close, financial statements, reconciliations, and compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations.

This role requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and a recognized professional certification.

Manage end-to-end month-end and year-end closing activities.

Prepare trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements in compliance with IFRS.

Post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and provisions.

Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting per Group deadlines.

Maintain and reconcile GL accounts, bank accounts, intercompany, AR, AP, and fixed assets.

Investigate and clear aged items, suspense, and reconciliation breaks.

Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules with supporting documentation for audit.

Ensure compliance with UAE Commercial Companies Law, IFRS, and Federal Tax Authority requirements.

Prepare and file VAT returns, reconcile VAT ledgers, and handle FTA queries.

Support UAE Corporate Tax computation and filings.

Maintain ESR and UBO documentation as applicable.

Act as key contact for external statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits.

Prepare audit schedules, samples, and explanations.

Implement and monitor internal controls under SOX/ICFR framework.

Address audit findings and improve processes.

Review AP/AR processes, vendor payments, customer collections, and aging analysis.

Ensure correct accounting treatment for expenses, CAPEX, and revenue recognition under IFRS 15.

Support treasury for cash flow forecasting.

Prepare monthly management reports, variance analysis vs budget/forecast, and KPI dashboards.

Support budgeting and forecasting cycles.

Provide insights on cost control and financial performance to business stakeholders.

Work on ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics for accounting and reporting.

Drive automation, standardization, and clean-up of legacy issues.

Participate in system implementations, UAT, and chart of accounts governanc

Experience: 10 years in accounting and financial reporting.

Minimum 5 years in UAE/GCC with hands-on month-end close and IFRS reporting.

Corporate, or Big 4 experience preferred.

Certification: Professional certification – CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA.

Technical Knowledge: Strong IFRS knowledge including IFRS 9, 15, 16.

Sound understanding of UAE VAT Law and Corporate Tax.

Knowledge of UAE labor law for payroll accounting is a plus.

Systems: Proficiency in SAP FI/CO, Oracle Financials, or equivalent ERP.

Advanced Excel: pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS.

with Hyperion, OneStream, or BPC is a plus.
