The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Receivable (AR) function while supporting month-end financial processes.
You will play a central role in ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining strong processes, and supporting the wider finance team.
This is a hands-on role that combines leadership, technical accounting expertise, and operational oversight.
📊 Accounts Receivable Oversight
- Oversee daily AR operations and ensure smooth transaction processing
- Support and guide the AR team, resolving blockers and maintaining workflow efficiency
- Ensure accurate data entry and consistent financial records
📅 Month-End & Reporting
- Lead and support month-end close processes within agreed timelines
- Perform reconciliations and post necessary adjustments
- Prepare financial summaries and month-end reporting
- Assist with VAT return preparation and submission
🔧 Systems & Process Management
- Maintain and manage the Xero accounting system
- Support improvements in financial processes and system usage
- Ensure compliance with reporting standards and deadlines
🤝 Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with internal teams on reporting and financial queries
- Communicate effectively across departments to ensure alignment
Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Xero (essential)
- Minimum 10+ years of accounting experience
- Proven experience managing or supervising a team
- Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable processes
- Experience with month-end close and financial reporting
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Strong communication and leadership capability
Preferred Experience
- CPA qualification (preferred but not required)
- Experience in fast-paced or scaling environments
- Exposure to system changes or process improvement initiatives
