Summary
A Tax & Accounting firm in Business Bay is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented **Senior Accountant** to oversee accounting operations, manage financial reporting, and supervise junior accounting staff.
The ideal candidate must have strong UAE accounting experience, excellent knowledge of accounting systems such as **Tally** and **QuickBooks**, and hold a **CA qualification**.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations and financial transactions
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and reconciliations
- Supervise and support a team of 2 accountants
- Monitor accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger activities
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping and proper financial documentation
- Assist with VAT filing, tax documentation, and compliance requirements
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow activities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports
- Coordinate with auditors, clients, and management when required
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of financial records
Requirements
- **Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)**
- Minimum **5 years of UAE experience** as a Senior Accountant
- Previous experience within a UAE accounting, tax, or consultancy firm is preferred
- Ability to supervise and manage junior accounting staff
- Strong knowledge of **Tally** and **QuickBooks** (mandatory)
- Good understanding of UAE accounting standards, VAT, and compliance processes
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- **Immediate availability**
Ideal Candidate
A reliable and hands-on accounting professional with strong UAE accounting knowledge, leadership ability, and experience managing financial operations within a fast-paced consultancy or accounting environment.
Candidates with a **CA qualification** and **consultancy** background will be highly preferred.
