About This Role
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Senior Accountant
with
5+ years of experience
to oversee financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and support strategic financial decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise and the ability to manage end-to-end accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, VAT requirements, and internal financial policies.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes.
- Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash flow management.
- Supervise and support junior accounting staff where applicable.
- Improve financial processes and implement best accounting practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- , preferably within the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of UAE VAT regulations is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
