A growing portfolio company backed by CedarBridge Capital Partners is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai, UAE.

The group operates across multiple business verticals and focuses on building scalable, operationally strong businesses in the region. The role offers exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and business partnering within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant for a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities while ensuring compliance with applicable financial and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of monthly MIS reports and management reporting packs
• Weekly cash flow forecasting and monitoring of working capital requirements
• Weekly profit and loss forecasting and variance analysis
• Preparation and submission of VAT and Corporate Tax returns in compliance with UAE regulations
• Perform daily and weekly revenue reconciliations between Point of Sale (POS) systems and bank statements to ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue
• Audit service commissions, incentives, and related calculations to support accurate payroll processing
• Oversee monthly physical stock counts and investigate inventory variances across retail and consumable items
• Support inventory controls and consignment stock management processes
• Monitor and analyze COGS margins across different business lines and identify opportunities for cost optimization and supplier savings
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and ensure proper cost allocation across business units and operational verticals
• Support ERP implementation, finance process improvements, and system enhancement initiatives
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
• Support internal and external audits and ensure reporting accuracy and compliance
• Coordinate with operational and cross-functional teams to support business decision-making and performance analysis

The role requires strong analytical capability, commercial awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and multi-entity environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in financial reporting, account reconciliations, MIS reporting, and budgeting
• Strong experience in cash flow forecasting, financial analysis, and variance reporting
• Familiarity with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations, filings, and compliance requirements
• Prior exposure to ERP systems and ERP implementation projects is preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Experience in POS reconciliation, inventory controls, and revenue assurance processes
• Strong understanding of COGS analysis, margin management, and operational finance
• Experience managing intercompany accounting and multi-entity reconciliations
• Prior experience in multi-unit retail, hospitality, or service-oriented businesses is highly preferred
• Ability to interpret financial data and provide insights on profitability and unit economics
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent are an advantage
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment
