Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Senior Accountant role based in Abu Dhabi.
The Senior Accountant will oversee financial reporting, manage general ledger activities, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing budgets, analyzing financial data, and handling tax-related matters.
The individual will collaborate with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and regulatory authorities to maintain accurate and transparent financial records.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and general ledger management
- Experience with budgets, financial forecasting, and variance analysis
- Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax preparation
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Professional accounting certification such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Knowledge of the construction industry and experience in a similar role is a plus
- Strong understanding of local accounting laws and regulations in the UAE
