Senior Accountant (Arabic)

About This Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our operations and trading business.

This role requires someone with strong technical accounting knowledge, solid experience in trading/distribution operations, and the ability to support management with accurate financial reporting, cost control, compliance, and business decision-making.

The ideal candidate should be mature, detail-oriented, and capable of handling the full accounting cycle with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
• Oversee supplier and customer reconciliations, payment follow-ups, invoicing, and credit control.
• Ensure proper recording of purchases, sales, inventory movements, landed costs, operational expenses, and intercompany transactions.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, margins, and financial controls to support operational efficiency.
• Coordinate closely with Sales, Procurement, Logistics, and Management on finance-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with VAT/tax requirements, statutory reporting, internal policies, and audit requirements.
• Support external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and required documentation.
• Review accounting processes and recommend improvements to strengthen internal controls.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification is an advantage.
• Arabic speaking language is mandatory.
• Preferably male.
• Minimum 7 to 10 years of accounting experience, with strong exposure to trading, distribution, logistics, or operations-based companies.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, VAT/tax compliance, reconciliations, inventory accounting, and cost control.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability.
• Ability to work independently, handle pressure, and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong business understanding, high attention to detail, and good coordination skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
