Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced **Senior Accountant – Contracting** to join our team in Al Quoz, Dubai.
The ideal candidate must have strong experience in the contracting/construction industry and a solid understanding of accounts payable, receivable, and project-based accounting.
The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and supporting management with accurate financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including **Accounts Payable (AP)** and **Accounts Receivable (AR)**
- Handle project accounting, cost allocation, and job costing for contracting projects
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Monitor cash flow, supplier payments, and customer collections
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE regulations
- Coordinate with auditors and support during external audits
- Maintain proper documentation and financial records
- Assist management with budgeting and financial forecasting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–12 years of experience in accounting, **must have experience in contracting/construction company**
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Experience in project accounting and cost control
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP preferred) and MS Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Currently based in UAE preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,500.00 per month
