Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead finance strategy and discuss Year 1 versus Year 2 growth strategy with the CEO.
• Own P&L, cashflow management, VAT, and corporate tax compliance; exercise final budget authority.
• Analyze financial and operational data to support revenue-generation strategy and commercial decisions.
• Oversee investor financing relationships, reporting, compliance, and communications.
• Develop the finance/accounts team through training, succession planning, and capability-building.
• Own Accounts SOPs and embed SOP testing, continuous improvement, and operational discipline.
• Provide timely financial reporting and insights; maintain internal controls, risk management, and UAE regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and leadership to support sustainable business growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• At least 2–5 years of progressive finance experience, including 1–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proven ownership of full P&L, cashflow, budgeting, and tax compliance.
• Strategic ability to turn data into revenue and growth initiatives; demonstrated finance-team development experience.
• Excellent knowledge of financial systems, reporting tools, and ERP/accounting software; strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Currently based in the UAE or willing to relocate immediately; fluency in English is required.

Preferred qualifications and skills

• Master’s degree or professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is preferred.
• UAE VAT and corporate tax experience is strongly preferred; investor or external financing relationship experience is a significant advantage.
• Arabic is an advantage; skills include advanced Excel, financial modelling, and ERP/accounting systems.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 5,000–10,000 per month; salary is also described as negotiable during interview based on experience and qualifications.
