Senior Accountant

Job Summary

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Post and manage all supplier invoices in QuickBooks with accurate VAT treatment
• Verify invoices, supporting documents, and approvals before processing
• Monitor supplier balances and coordinate payment schedules

Bank & Transfer Entries

• Record all internal and external fund transfer transactions accurately
• Maintain proper records of bank entries and financial transfers
• Reconcile bank transactions and resolve discrepancies promptly

Petty Cash Management

• Record and monitor petty cash transactions for management and operational expenses
• Maintain accurate petty cash records for assigned personnel and departments
• Ensure supporting bills and approvals are attached for all petty cash expenses

Journal Entries & Expense Posting

• Prepare and post journal entries for operational and administrative expenses
• Ensure all accounting entries are properly classified and documented
• Assist in monthly closing activities and ledger reconciliation

Documentation & Filing

• Maintain organized financial documentation including:
• Supplier bills and invoices
• Journal vouchers
• Bank transaction records
• Payment supporting documents
• Accounting and reconciliation files

Intercompany Accounting

• Post and reconcile intercompany transactions periodically between group companies
• Coordinate with finance teams for balance confirmations and reconciliation
• Ensure accurate reporting of intercompany accounts and adjustments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 8+ years of accounting experience, preferably in GCC countries
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and MS Excel
• Good understanding of VAT regulations and financial reporting
• Experience in intercompany accounting and reconciliation
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in contracting, construction, or project-based companies
• Knowledge of GCC accounting standards and practices
• Immediate joiners preferred
