Senior Accountant

**Location:** Dubai, UAE

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Handle **end-to-end accounting operations**, including:
• Petty cash management
• Journal entries and general ledger maintenance
• Accounts payable and receivable
• Bank reconciliations
• Prepare and maintain **accurate financial statements** in compliance with UAE regulations and IFRS standards
• Conduct **monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes**
• Manage and oversee **financial audits** and liaise with external auditors
• Generate and analyze **MIS reports** for management decision-making
• Monitor and control **operational costs and expenses**, ensuring efficiency across departments
• Handle **multi-currency accounting transactions** and foreign exchange considerations
• Ensure compliance with **UAE VAT and tax regulations**
• Maintain proper documentation and internal controls
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• HR and PRO works like company vehicles, visas, Trade license renewals etc to be monitored.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA/CPA/ACCA preferred)
• Minimum **5+ years of accounting experience**, including:
• At least **2+ years in the UAE market**
• Experience in **logistics, automotive, or trading industry** is highly preferred
• Strong proficiency in:
• **Zoho Books is mandatory**
• Tally
• QuickBooks
• Solid understanding of **UAE VAT laws and compliance requirements**
• Experience in handling **multi-currency transactions**
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
