The role oversees accounting operations, inventory-driven cost tracking, margin analysis, and compliance with UAE financial regulations and tax standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and supplier and customer reconciliations.
- Monitor food and beverage costs and kitchen and bar inventory; analyze variances against sales, budgets, and wastage.
- Reconcile daily POS sales, payment gateway settlements, and cash drops across restaurant and café outlets.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Maintain records and support preparation and filing of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax returns.
- Support internal and external audits and collaborate with operations managers on cost efficiency and profitability.
Requirements and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, including 2–3 years in F&B, restaurant, or hospitality.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, such as Odoo, Tally, QuickBooks, or specialized F&B systems; advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of UAE accounting principles, VAT, and Corporate Tax regulations.
- High analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to handle high-volume transactions across multi-branch or single-site operations.
- CPA, ACCA, or CA qualification is a plus.
