The Senior Accountant manages financial records, reporting, day-to-day accounting, and compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
The role supports financial analysis and maintains accurate financial documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements; manage general ledger accounts, accounting entries, and reconciliations.
- Complete monthly and year-end closes; review and accurately post supplier invoices; prepare weekly bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies; follow applicable accounting standards.
- Assist with annual budgets and forecasts; analyze actual results against budgets.
- Prepare management reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial summaries.
- Prepare and submit applicable tax returns; support local tax, VAT, and corporate tax compliance.
- Liaise with auditors, support statutory filings, and comply with financial regulations and company policies.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- At least five years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards; exposure to tax preparation and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency with Xero or similar accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- CPA, ACCA, or CMA is preferred; Forex/CFD broker experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
