The officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for visitors and staff through patrols, monitoring and incident response.
Duties
- Protect client property, people and assets in line with assignment instructions and site-specific procedures.
- Patrol the site, monitor activity and operate CCTV equipment.
- Report irregularities, prevent loss and damage, and escalate incidents to appropriate managers or emergency services.
- Maintain accurate records of observations, incidents and surveillance activities.
- Provide professional, friendly first-line assistance to customers and visitors and respond to their queries.
- Comply with legal requirements and contribute to team efforts.
Candidate requirements
- A valid SIA Licence is required as a minimum.
- The employer seeks an experienced Security Officer who is flexible and reliable.
- Professional conduct, attention to detail and commitment to site security standards are expected.
Hours and shifts
- Average 36 hours per week according to the site rota.
- Work includes a mixture of days, nights and weekends; typical shifts are 6:00–18:00 and 18:00–6:00.
Pay
- Pay rate is £13.45 per hour.
