Relief Control Room Operator role supporting the security team at Brunel Shopping Centre in Swindon.
Provides cover for control room shifts as required, with a variety of hours and shift patterns.

Duties
- Monitor CCTV for suspicious activity, security concerns and potential incidents, and take appropriate action.
- Coordinate with on-site Security Officers to support incident response.
- Maintain accurate control room logs and records of incidents and activities.
- Monitor site systems and report or escalate faults, concerns and irregularities.
- Protect property, people and assets in line with Assignment Instructions and site-specific procedures.
- Report irregularities, help prevent loss and damage, and escalate incidents to appropriate managers or emergency services.
- Operate CCTV equipment and complete reports of observations and surveillance activity.
- Provide first-line assistance to customers and visitors and respond to queries and requests.
- Maintain professional conduct and comply with legal requirements.
Requirements
- A valid SIA CCTV licence is required as a minimum.
- Must be flexible and reliable to cover shifts with varied hours and patterns.
- Professional conduct and friendly service to customers and visitors are expected.
Working hours
- Zero-hours working arrangement; control room shifts are covered as required.
Location and work setting
- The role is based at Brunel Shopping Centre, 29A Canal Walk, Swindon, SN1 1LF.
Pay
- Pay is £13.70 per hour for control room shifts.
