The Scent Design Associate contributes creatively to fragrance themes, technologies, consumer solutions, ideas, and development processes.
The role is based at IFF's Scent Creative Center in Dubai.
Key responsibilities
- Manage go-to-market projects and implement fragrance development strategies.
- Translate market, customer, and consumer needs into competitive product solutions.
- Collaborate with perfumers, technical teams, consumer insights, and marketing to develop fragrance solutions and capabilities.
- Develop creative strategies using Holistic Scent Design principles.
- Define consumer insight priorities for competitive, consumer-relevant solutions.
- Provide creative direction and olfactive guidance to perfumers to execute olfactive strategy.
- Build effective internal stakeholder relationships and share market and competitive insights across the organization.
Qualifications and skills
- Excellent olfactive communication, including discrimination, description of associations, and odor memory.
- Ability to identify market-relevant fragrance or technology solutions and understanding of consumer trends and behaviors.
- Understanding of fragrance ingredients, technologies, formulation, and stability risk assessment.
- Strong project management skills; disciplined and process-oriented.
- Master's or bachelor's degree in Perfumery, Science, Chemistry, Consumer Science, Product Research, or another relevant discipline.
- Fluent in English.
