Internship overview
Internship intended to help a Year 3 IFF ISIPCA student develop market awareness, technical skills, and professional maturity for a future in perfumery.
Training combines creative work, fragrance formulation practice, category immersion, consumer understanding, scientific exposure, and mentorship.
The role is based in Dubai.
Responsibilities
- Support multiple local and regional projects across the perfumery organization.
- Contribute to creative fragrance projects under the guidance of experienced perfumers and fragrance professionals.
- Complete a creative brief exercise to develop technical and creative perfumery skills.
- Assist with fragrance evaluations and sensory learning activities to strengthen olfactory capabilities.
- Learn and apply laboratory best practices, including safety, organization, and sample handling.
- Support the Scent Design Group on initiatives to deepen understanding of fragrance development.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in Year 3 of the ISIPCA Scent Design and Creation program.
- Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong organization, project-prioritization, interpersonal, and communication skills; collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and openness to feedback and development.
- Ability to work in a laboratory while following established safety and quality standards.
Additional strengths
- Additional local language skills relevant to the location are advantageous.
- Creative thinking and interest in translating concepts into compelling fragrance experiences are desirable.
- Interest in exploring fragrance-related career paths and building a long-term career in perfumery is desirable.
