Internship overview
Internship based in Dubai, designed for a Year 3 IFF ISIPCA student to build market awareness, technical skills, and professional maturity for a future in perfumery.
Training combines creative work, fragrance formulation practice, category immersion, consumer understanding, scientific exposure, and mentorship.
The intern works with Scent Design & Creation and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Support multiple local and regional projects across the perfumery organization.
- Contribute to creative fragrance projects under experienced perfumers and fragrance professionals.
- Complete creative briefs to develop technical and creative perfumery skills.
- Assist with fragrance evaluations and sensory learning to strengthen olfactory capabilities.
- Learn and apply laboratory safety, organization, quality, and sample-handling practices.
- Support Scent Design Group initiatives related to fragrance development.
Candidate requirements
- Currently enrolled in Year 3 of the ISIPCA Scent Design and Creation program.
- Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Additional local language skills relevant to the location are an advantage.
- Strong organization, project-prioritization, interpersonal, and communication skills; collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Curious, eager to learn, and open to feedback and development.
- Able to work in a laboratory while following established safety and quality standards.
Preferred strengths
- Creative thinking and interest in translating concepts into fragrance experiences.
- Interest in exploring fragrance-related career paths and building a long-term career in perfumery.
