Role overview

Responsibilities

• Own the Sales and Order to Cash roadmap and align priorities with strategy, process owners, enterprise architecture, and SAP platform plans.
• Lead process design across inquiries, quotations, contracts, sales orders, fulfilment, pricing, billing, receivables, and revenue recognition.
• Facilitate fit-to-standard decisions, document material deviations, and recommend upgrade-safe options under clean-core principles.
• Define integration requirements with Finance, Materials Management, Grants Management, revenue accounting, credit management, point-of-sale, and non-SAP platforms.
• Improve customer, product, pricing, contract, and transaction data quality, ownership, controls, and reporting definitions.
• Guide SAP Fiori experiences, approvals, workflow, and embedded analytics; involve users and measure whether changes improve priority tasks.
• Assess automation and SAP Business AI or Joule use cases for value, data protection, human oversight, and platform readiness.
• Lead solution evaluation, delivery assurance, business acceptance, cutover readiness, and post-implementation benefits tracking.
• Advise on controls, segregation of duties, and auditability with Finance, Information Security, and risk owners.
• Maintain stakeholder and partner relationships, resolve complex cross-functional issues, and communicate options, trade-offs, costs, and outcomes.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least six years of relevant SAP functional experience, including substantial SAP S/4HANA Sales and end-to-end Order to Cash transformation; equivalent depth may be considered.
• Demonstrated success leading process redesign, stakeholder decisions, and adoption across complex organizations.
• Strong knowledge of integration with Finance, receivables, and revenue recognition, plus working understanding of adjacent SAP and enterprise systems.
• Research-intensive university experience or experience in a similarly diverse environment is advantageous.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori, clean-core principles, SAP BTP integration or extensibility, and SAP Cloud ALM is desirable.
• Ability to evaluate automation, analytics, and SAP Business AI with attention to business value, governance, and data protection.
• SAP S/4HANA Sales certification is desirable, not mandatory.
• Strong facilitation, analytical, communication, and change leadership skills; able to manage competing priorities and coach colleagues.
