SAP Environment & Cutover Release Lead

Role Overview

Position Details

• Workplace type: Onsite.

Environment Management

• Define and govern SAP landscapes covering DEV, QA, SIT, UAT, pre-production, and production.
• Ensure environment availability, stability, readiness, refreshes, data provisioning, and configuration synchronization.
• Maintain environment schedules, allocation plans, and usage coordination across workstreams.
• Coordinate issue resolution with technical teams and mitigate environment-related risks.

Release and Cutover Governance

• Establish release processes, deployment controls, transport migrations, readiness criteria, schedules, and approvals.
• Develop the master cutover plan and coordinate business, functional, technical, integration, and data migration teams.
• Define runbooks, task sequencing, checkpoints, contingency plans, escalation paths, and critical-path activities.
• Lead governance meetings, readiness reviews, and deployment decision-making.

Production Readiness

• Plan and execute cutover simulations, mock cutovers, and dress rehearsals.
• Validate timelines, resource readiness, rollback strategies, and implementation procedures.
• Conduct production readiness assessments and stage-gate reviews before go-live.
• Ensure business, technical, operational, and support teams are prepared for production deployment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in SAP program delivery, release management, environment management, or cutover management.
• Proven SAP S/4HANA transformation deployment and large-scale enterprise go-live experience.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and managing deployment risks, dependencies, and schedules.

Technical Skills

• SAP environment, landscape, release, transport, change, and deployment management.
• Cutover planning, execution, governance, production readiness, and go-live support.
• SAP testing lifecycle support across SIT, UAT, and pre-production.
• Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager, ChaRM, ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP or project and program management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or SAFe.
• Experience with enterprise ERP transformations, regulated environments, cutover rehearsals, and multiple implementation partners.
• Knowledge of ITIL, change management frameworks, and release governance best practices.
