Sanitation Supervisor

Objective The objective of this position is to clean and maintain the warehouse, parking lot and storage facilities. Qualifications • Ability to understand and speak both English and Spanish preferred • Ability to perform repeated tasks with attention to detail • Knowledge of proper lifting techniques when handling heavy objects • Experience working with hazardous materials • Team Player • Ability to endure tough working conditions • Punctual Elements of Position • Operate sweeper and scrubber in appropriate areas around the plant • Empty garbage cans and dumpsters • Clean and mop appropriate areas • Dump bulk loads • Use caution with cleaning chemicals • Pick up all fruit from floor • Wash/sanitize fruit belts and packing equipment • Ability to operate packing equipment • Understanding of shed sanitation requirements • Cleaning and Sanitation • Employee training • Understanding of basic shed food safety requirements as stated in the Employee Food Safety Practices • Reading chemicals labels or Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to learn how to properly handle chemicals Physical requirements • Standing/walking, crouching, stooping, twisting, balancing, leg/foot use, reaching, overhead extension, handling, grasping, pushing/pulling (40+ lbs.), lifting carrying (40+ lbs.) • Senses: Speaking, hearing, sight (far, near, color) Environmental factors • Work area is inside warehouse and outdoors in all types of extreme weather conditions. • Indoor areas are well ventilated with moderate noise, well lit with moderate dirt and dust, occasional chemical odors from cleaning supplies.
