Objective The basic objective of this position is to organize personnel in positions to make the operation run efficiently. Qualifications • Ability to speak, Spanish and English • Person must have knowledge of fruit sizes and varieties • Ability to train new hires and proper scheduling for employees • Excellent communication and personal interactive skills • Forklift certified. Completion of Warmerdam Packing, LLC safety program • Basic math skills, computer and clerical skills • Ability to perform detailed functions and make quick informative decisions during periods of high pressure • Able to lift 40 pounds overhead repetitively over work shift • Able to work in constant cold temperature (35 degrees) Elements of Position • Supervise, train and hire employees • Interact with Packing Line Supervisors for consistency in performance • Resolve all types of problems as they arise • Set up and prepare pallets to stack packed boxes • Maintain a clean work area, free of safety hazards • Set up employees with their daily job duties Physical requirements • Standing/walking, crouching, stooping, twisting, balancing, leg/foot use, reaching, overhead extension, handling, pushing/pulling (40 lbs.), lifting carrying (40 lbs.) • Senses: Speaking, hearing, sight (far, near, color) Environmental factors • Work area is occasionally inside 35-degree cold temperature rooms the area is well ventilated with noise and well lit Safety factors • Hazards encountered include lifting packed boxes, roller belt (chain), cold temperature, forklift traffic Safety Equipment • Proper Foot Wear • Proper Clothing Equipment Used to Perform Job • Forklift • Electric fork jack This position can encompass duties other than the specified duties listed above.
