Position summary
Develop and maintain responsive Salesforce Commerce Cloud storefront experiences across traditional SFRA templates and/or headless PWA Kit (React) storefronts.
Work with designers, backend and integration developers, and business stakeholders to build polished, accessible, performant interfaces.
Storefront development
- Build responsive storefront UI with SFRA, ISML, JavaScript (ES6+), and SCSS/CSS/Bootstrap.
- Develop headless storefront features such as product detail pages, product listing pages, carts, and checkout using PWA Kit and the Retail React App template.
- Deploy headless storefronts using Managed Runtime.
- Create reusable UI components and templates aligned with SFCC architecture and design systems.
- Translate wireframes, mockups, and prototypes into accessible, polished interfaces.
- Integrate frontend components with backend services using REST, OCAPI/SCAPI, and custom cartridges; map data between SFCC and React.
Quality and collaboration
- Optimize page speed, Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, and caching; ensure cross-browser, cross-device, and responsive compatibility.
- Use code-quality tools to maintain quality gates and address vulnerabilities.
- Debug UI issues with browser developer tools, SFCC Business Manager, and other tools.
- Perform code reviews and unit tests; deploy with Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, and sfcc-ci automation.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and business stakeholders, and keep current with frontend, headless commerce, and SFCC trends.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 6–10 years of overall frontend/UI development experience, including at least 2–4 years hands-on with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SFRA, ISML, JavaScript, and SCSS/CSS.
- PWA Kit/React headless storefront implementation experience, including migrations from SFRA to PWA Kit, is preferred.
Technical qualifications
- Proficiency in SFCC frontend architecture, including SFRA and/or PWA Kit templates and client-side JavaScript.
- Experience with complex customizations using ISML, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3/SCSS, and Bootstrap.
- Knowledge of responsive mobile-first design, web services, RESTful APIs, OCAPI/SCAPI, and custom cartridges.
- Working knowledge of Node.js and modern JavaScript tooling, Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, and CI/CD.
- Knowledge of web standards, WCAG accessibility, and web performance best practices; SonarQube familiarity is listed.
- Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer certification is a plus.
