Salesforce Commerce Cloud Senior Frontend Developer

Position summary

Primary responsibilities

• Build responsive storefront UI with SFRA, ISML, JavaScript (ES6+), and SCSS/CSS/Bootstrap.
• Develop headless storefront features for PDP, PLP, cart, and checkout using PWA Kit and the Retail React App template, including Managed Runtime deployments.
• Create reusable UI components and templates aligned with SFCC frontend architecture and design systems.
• Integrate frontend components with backend services through RESTful services, OCAPI/SCAPI, and custom cartridges; map SFCC data to React.
• Improve page speed and Core Web Vitals using lazy loading and caching strategies.
• Maintain code quality, resolve vulnerabilities, and ensure cross-browser, cross-device compatibility.
• Debug UI issues using browser developer tools, SFCC Business Manager, and other tools.
• Perform code reviews and unit testing; deploy using Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, and sfcc-ci automation.
• Collaborate with UX/UI, development, and business teams and keep current with frontend and headless commerce technologies.

Experience and education

• Proficiency in SFCC frontend architecture, including SFRA and/or PWA Kit templates and client-side JavaScript.
• Ability to customize complex business domains using ISML, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3/SCSS, and Bootstrap.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 6–10 years of overall frontend/UI development experience.

Skills and qualifications

• Hands-on React.js and headless/composable storefront experience, including Managed Runtime, is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with responsive mobile-first design, cross-browser compatibility, RESTful APIs, OCAPI/SCAPI, and custom cartridges.
• Working knowledge of Node.js, modern JavaScript build tooling, version control, deployment tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with SonarQube is listed; Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of web standards, WCAG accessibility, and performance/Core Web Vitals best practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
