Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Senior BE Engineer

Position summary

Primary responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable SFCC back-end solutions for performance and reliability.
• Integrate Salesforce Commerce Cloud with third-party services and APIs using RESTful web services, OCAPI, and custom cartridges.
• Understand and optimize existing integrations with custom third-party APIs.
• Manage and configure SFCC Business Manager to optimize product catalogs, promotions, and storefront performance.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues using browser developer tools, SFCC Business Manager, and other tools.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and deployments using Git, Jenkins, and other tools.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Stay current with web development and Salesforce Commerce Cloud trends and technologies.

Experience and qualifications

• At least six years of Salesforce Commerce Cloud development experience using SFRA, Pipelines, Controllers, Demandware Script, and related systems.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in SFCC architecture, including back-end systems and data models.
• Ability to implement complex business-domain customizations using ISML, JavaScript, and OCAPI.
• Experience integrating web services and APIs using RESTful services, OCAPI, and custom cartridges.
• Experience with code versioning and deployment tools such as Git and Jenkins.
• Strong knowledge of web standards, accessibility, and best practices.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer certification is a plus.
