Salesforce Commerce Cloud Frontend Developer

Position overview

Primary responsibilities

• Develop responsive storefront UI using SFRA, ISML, JavaScript (ES6+), and SCSS/CSS/Bootstrap.
• Build headless/composable PDP, PLP, cart, and checkout features using PWA Kit and the Retail React App template; deploy through Managed Runtime.
• Create reusable components and templates aligned with SFCC frontend architecture and design systems.
• Translate designs into pixel-accurate, accessible interfaces; integrate frontend and backend services using REST, OCAPI/SCAPI, and custom cartridges.
• Optimize page speed, Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, and caching; monitor code-quality tools and resolve vulnerabilities.
• Ensure cross-browser, cross-device, and responsive compatibility; troubleshoot UI issues with browser tools and SFCC Business Manager.
• Perform code reviews and unit testing; deploy using Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, and sfcc-ci automation.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and business stakeholders and stay current with frontend, headless commerce, and SFCC trends.

Experience and qualifications

• Proficiency in SFCC frontend architecture, including SFRA and/or PWA Kit templates and client-side JavaScript.
• Implement customizations using ISML, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3/SCSS, and Bootstrap; familiarity with responsive, mobile-first, cross-browser design.
• Familiarity with RESTful services, OCAPI/SCAPI, and custom cartridges; working knowledge of Node.js and modern JavaScript tooling.
• Experience with Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, CI/CD, and familiarity with quality tools such as SonarQube.
• Strong knowledge of web standards, WCAG accessibility, and performance/Core Web Vitals; strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years of overall frontend/UI development experience, including at least 3–5 years hands-on with SFCC.
• PWA Kit/React headless storefront implementations or migration projects are preferred; SFCC Developer certification is a plus.
