Purpose and Mission
Drive specification and adoption of steel fiber reinforcement solutions during early design stages of Middle East infrastructure, tunnelling, precast, transportation, and major projects.
The role is based in Dubai, UAE and reports to the ASM / Head of Infrastructure Middle East.
Focus includes project specifications, regulatory approvals and certifications, and technical coordination to maximize project conversion.
Key Activities
- Promote solutions to consultants, designers, owners, and engineering firms and secure inclusion in tender documents.
- Track target projects and coordinate optimized designs, design reviews, value engineering, and technical comparisons.
- Support precast manufacturers and consultants in implementing steel fiber reinforced concrete.
- Coordinate product approvals, certifications, compliance, and certification documentation with authorities and standards bodies.
- Conduct technical presentations, seminars, workshops, and training; maintain the opportunity pipeline and monitor conversion.
- Deliver an agreed specification target.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in infrastructure, tunnelling, precast, construction materials, structural design, or specification engineering.
- Master’s degree in engineering science or fiber technology is preferred.
- Knowledge of Eurocode, fib Model Code, ACI, and BS EN standards is preferred.
- Locally presented is stated as mandatory; the posting also calls for a well-known profile among ready-mix suppliers or local laboratories.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills; willingness to travel across the Middle East, with 50% travel stated.

Projects specified with Bekaert solutions and opportunities generated through specification activities.
Product approvals and certifications achieved, and consultant and authority engagements conducted.
Conversion of specified projects into awarded business and growth of steel fiber adoption in targeted segments.
