Sales Manager - Food Trading

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage and expand key accounts with retail chains, hypermarkets, and supermarkets; build relationships with category managers, buyers, and store-level teams.
• Negotiate annual contracts, trading terms, listing fees, rebates, and promotional agreements.
• Develop account-specific sales plans and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
• Coordinate new product listings and category compliance; work with supply chain on availability, forecasting, and deliveries.
• Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Plan in-store promotions, sampling, and seasonal campaigns; support product launches and market penetration.
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, performance dashboards, and promotional ROI analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• At least 3–5 years of key-account management in FMCG or food trading, specifically with major UAE retail chains.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills; proven record achieving sales targets and managing large accounts.
• Knowledge of the UAE retail landscape, trading terms, pricing structures, and category management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting tools, and CRM systems; able to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

Preferred experience

• Existing relationships with major UAE retail chains are preferred.
• Experience with dry, frozen, chilled, or specialty imported food categories is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret sales data and market trends are preferred.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 6,000–10,000 per month.
