Key duties and responsibilities
- Engage prospective customers, identify automotive needs, explain available vehicles, and recommend suitable options.
- Close deals and achieve or exceed sales targets using persuasive selling techniques.
- Respond to inquiries and provide accurate information about vehicles, pricing, financing options, and promotions.
- Build customer relationships that support repeat business and referrals.
- Stay up to date on automotive trends and vehicle features and specifications; use product knowledge to inform purchase decisions.
- Guide customers through the sales process, handle paperwork, negotiate pricing, arrange test drives, and coordinate with finance and insurance.
- Prospect through referrals, online platforms, and community networking; follow up on leads and convert them into sales opportunities.
- Research target segments, customer preferences, and competitors; use market insights to develop sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain sales, customer interaction, and vehicle inventory records; report on performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
- Continue developing automotive, sales, and dealership-policy knowledge through training, workshops, and self-study.
- Uphold company values and use sound judgment; perform other duties as required by management.
Position requirements
- One to three years of automotive sales experience.
- Proven experience as a Sales Executive or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Minimum high school diploma.
- Sales certifications or a recognized motor-industry qualification are preferred.
