The Sales Engineer is responsible for combining technical expertise with sales skills to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
This role supports the sales process by identifying opportunities, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
The Sales Engineer contributes to revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Client Engagement & Pre-Sales Support: Work with the sales team to identify prospects, understand client requirements, and provide technical consultation.
- Technical Proposal Preparation: Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and respond to RFPs/RFQs.
- System Design & Solution Engineering: Analyze requirements and design solutions in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
- Vendor & Product Management: Coordinate with vendors and product providers to ensure compatibility and best options.
- Project Coordination: Act as a link between customers and implementation teams to ensure timely and accurate solution delivery.
- Follow-up and Negotiation: Support sales negotiations by clarifying technical and commercial aspects.
- Market Research & Business Development: Track industry trends, competitor offerings, and contribute to business growth initiatives.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical documentation and periodic reports to support sales and delivery processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in sales engineering, presales, or technical sales.
- Strong technical knowledge in relevant domain (Networking, Cloud, Software, Mechanical, etc.).
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with leading brands and technologies in CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Fire Alarm Systems.
