Sales Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead sales initiatives, close contracts, and achieve sales targets.
• Develop customers with technical information and training; provide after-sales customer service and support.
• Follow up on quotations and projects, maintain customer contact data, and execute marketing strategies to increase sales volume.
• Analyze customer needs, volume potential, pricing, and competition; prepare periodic sales reports.
• Manage customer complaints and coordinate with relevant departments to meet contract requirements and customer satisfaction goals.
• Visit potential and active customers, generate inquiries, prepare estimates and quotations, and follow up.
• Submit annual sales forecasts and set targets; coordinate with Engineering and Production to meet customer requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with an extensive background in sales.
• Five years of technical-sales experience in the UAE and GCC in metalwork, fencing, or gabions.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Experience in fabrication, metal, fencing, and gabion-related work.
• Ability to build client relationships, communicate effectively, analyze and solve problems, and work as part of a team.
• Sound judgment, business sense, resilience, self-motivation, and a strong desire to sell.

Compensation

• The description gives compensation as up to AED 5,000–6,000 per month plus commission, depending on qualifications and experience.
• A separate pay line states AED 3,000–5,000 per month.

Workplace
