Project Engineer

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage projects through execution and final handover.
• Review drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and material requirements.
• Coordinate clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Prepare schedules, progress reports, material requisitions, and technical documents.
• Monitor site activities for compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate production, supply, and installation of gabion baskets, wire mesh, fencing, and other metal products as applicable.
• Monitor costs, manpower, material utilization, and delivery schedules; coordinate corrective actions for technical issues.
• Ensure quality and safety compliance; attend site meetings and resolve technical queries.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, snagging, and handover; maintain accurate project records.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant project engineering experience; experience in gabion systems, wire mesh, metal fabrication, construction, or infrastructure is preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of project planning, material coordination, quality control, and site supervision.
• AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and project management tools are advantageous.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• A valid UAE driving licence is advantageous for site-based responsibilities.

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary is AED 6,000–8,000, depending on experience and qualifications; the package is negotiable.
• Medical insurance, annual leave, and other benefits are provided according to applicable law and company policy.
