Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven
Sales & Business Development Manager
to lead the growth of our
Agricultural Products & Services Business
across the UAE.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic client relationships, and driving revenue growth through the sale of agricultural products, solutions, and services.
The ideal candidate must possess both a
strong agricultural educational background
and hands-on commercial experience within the agriculture industry.
They should have an in-depth understanding of agricultural practices, products, and market dynamics, combined with a proven ability to generate new business and manage key customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales and business development strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the agricultural sector, including farms, agricultural companies, government entities, distributors, contractors, developers, and large-scale agricultural projects.
- Promote and sell agricultural products and services, including irrigation systems, fertilizers, crop protection products, seeds, greenhouse solutions, agricultural equipment, landscaping products, and related agricultural solutions.
- Build, develop, and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, tenders, and contracts while negotiating pricing and commercial terms.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, competitor activities, industry trends, and emerging business opportunities.
- Work closely with technical and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company at exhibitions, industry events, networking functions, and client meetings.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts and business reports.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and maintain long-term client relationships.
Education & Experience Requirements
- **Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Horticulture, Agribusiness, Crop Science, Plant Science, or another closely related agricultural discipline (Mandatory).**
- Minimum
- 5–8 years of experience
- in sales and business development within the agricultural products and/or agricultural services industry.
- Proven experience selling agricultural products, irrigation systems, fertilizers, crop protection products, seeds, greenhouse solutions, agricultural machinery, agricultural technology, or related services.
- Strong technical understanding of agricultural products and farming practices.
- Existing network within the UAE agricultural market is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and developing new business.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Experience preparing commercial proposals, tenders, and contracts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Valid UAE driving licence is preferred.
