The role may be a pathway to a direct sales position for top performers.

Business ownership and product expertise

  • Build product portfolio knowledge and analyze sales volume, revenue, and profitability across categories.
  • Partner with product and marketing teams on product features, positioning, and lifecycle changes; maintain catalog information such as launch timing and retail placement.
  • Own Walmart.com item setup, forecasting, order recommendations, and inventory management.
  • Manage POS plans, track year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter results, identify headwinds and tailwinds, and develop gap-closing strategies.
  • Audit site assortment, content, pricing, and competitive positioning; partner with Retail Marketing to maximize program impact.
  • Own digital forecasts using historical data, trends, seasonality, and promotional plans; align assumptions, risks, and opportunities with partners.
  • Coordinate order execution to support on-time, in-full fulfillment.

Analysis and collaboration

  • Develop weekly and monthly KPI reports on point of sale, inventory, and sales trends, providing actionable insights.
  • Analyze market trends with Walmart Scintilla, Tableau, and other data sources, explaining performance drivers.
  • Create data-driven presentations for Walmart merchants, planners, and replenishment managers.
  • Track new product launches against forecasts and inform distribution and placement strategies.
  • Collaborate with Walmart sales leads and internal Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams on relationships and business planning.
  • Standardize operating procedures, use automation tools to streamline work, and continually improve analytics capabilities.

What we’re looking for

  • At least 2 years of CPG analytics experience, including work with multiple data sources.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Scintilla, Retail Link, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Tableau, and NPD.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Self-motivation, ownership, integrity, attention to detail, urgency, and accountability.
  • Proactive approach, willingness to take on new challenges, responsiveness to direction, and commitment to continuous learning.

How we work

  • In-office Monday through Thursday and work from home on Fridays.

Compensation

  • Annual pay range is $70,000–$88,000; base pay depends on work location, skills, and experience.
