We are looking for a Safety Officer to ensures a workplace complies with health and safety regulations by developing and implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and providing employee training.
Their responsibilities include inspecting the premises, investigating accidents, and enforcing safety protocols to prevent hazards and promote a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- **Policy and program development:** Create and update safety policies and programs to ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety laws and standards.
- **Risk assessment:** Identify potential hazards in the workplace and implement preventative measures to control risks.
- **Workplace monitoring:** Conduct regular inspections of the premises and personnel to identify and correct safety issues.
- **Training and education:** Provide safety training to employees and management, covering topics like the use of machinery, noise levels, and emergency procedures.
- **Incident investigation:** Investigate all accidents and incidents to determine the cause, document findings, and handle worker's compensation claims.
- **Emergency preparedness:** Develop and coordinate emergency action plans and conduct drills.
- **Compliance and reporting:** Ensure all employees adhere to safety guidelines, and report on safety performance and statistics to senior management.
- **Advice and guidance:** Act as a point of contact for safety-related advice and guidance for employees and management.
- Typical qualifications
- Relevant certifications or a bachelor's or associate degree in a related field.
- Deep knowledge of occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines and regulations.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills to follow regulations precisely.
- Ability to be proactive and observant to identify hazards before they cause harm.
- Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per hour
Experience
- UAE Safety Officer: 2 years (Preferred)
