Overview
We are looking for a purchasing officer can buys, and manages the procurement of goods and services for a company to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery, handling tasks like vendor research and evaluation, contract negotiation, purchase order processing, inventory management, and relationship management with suppliers. Key skills include strong analytical and negotiation abilities, knowledge of market trends, and proficiency in procurement software, often supported by a degree in business or supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
- **Vendor Management:** Researching, evaluating, and maintaining relationships with potential and current suppliers and vendors.
- **Procurement:** Sourcing, negotiating prices and contracts, and purchasing necessary goods, services, and materials.
- **Inventory Control:** Monitoring stock levels and ensuring timely replenishment of supplies to meet operational needs.
- **Order Processing:** Preparing and managing purchase orders and ensuring accurate and timely receipt of delivered items.
- **Reporting:** Analyzing costs, preparing reports on purchases, and tracking orders.
- **Market Analysis:** Conducting market research to identify cost-effective deals and stay informed about industry trends.
- **Quality Assurance:** Ensuring that procured products and services meet the organization's quality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- **Analytical Skills:** Ability to analyze market trends, compare prices, and make sound decisions for optimal cost and value.
- **Negotiation Skills:** Strong negotiation skills are essential for securing the best prices, terms, and conditions with vendors.
- **Communication Skills:** Excellent communication to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
- **Organizational Skills:** Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- **Technical Proficiency:** Proficiency with procurement software and other relevant tools for efficient management of purchasing processes.
- **Education:** A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is often preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
