Key Responsibilities And Duties

• **Compliance and Policies:** Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws (e.g., OSHA, HSE) and create company safety policies.
• **Risk Management:** Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• **Incident Investigation:** Lead investigations into accidents or near-misses to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• **Training and Culture:** Develop and deliver safety training sessions, inductions, and seminars to promote a proactive safety culture.
• **Documentation:** Maintain detailed records of safety activities, audits, and incidents.

Required Skills And Qualifications

• **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, engineering, or environmental science.
• **Experience:** Proven experience as a safety manager or similar role, often requiring several years in specialized industries.
• **Certifications:** Preferred qualifications include certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
• **Knowledge:** Deep understanding of health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
• **Soft Skills:** Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
