Health and Safety Manager

About This Role

We are looking for A Health & Safety (H&S) Manager develops, implements, and monitors safety policies to ensure compliance with legal regulations, preventing accidents and illnesses. They conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and employee training to foster a positive, proactive safety culture. Key responsibilities include investigating incidents, managing safety equipment, and advising senior leadership on compliance.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Compliance and Policies: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws (e.g., OSHA, HSE) and create company safety policies.
• Risk Management: Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into accidents or near-misses to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Training and Culture: Develop and deliver safety training sessions, inductions, and seminars to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of safety activities, audits, and incidents.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, engineering, or environmental science.
• Experience: Proven experience as a safety manager or similar role, often requiring several years in specialized industries.
• Certifications: Preferred qualifications include certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.

Common Performance Indicators

• Reduction in incident rates (accidents, near-misses).
• Improved compliance inspection scores.
• Successful completion of safety audits.
• Timely completion of safety training for staff.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month

Experience:

• Safety Manager: 5 years (Preferred)
