About This Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Safety Manager with more than 20 years of professional experience in the UAE, preferably in construction, infrastructure, high-rise buildings,...etc.
The candidate shall be responsible for implementing and monitoring Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and ensuring full compliance with UAE regulations and project safety standards.
Arabic-speaking candidates are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety plans.
- Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws, municipality regulations, and client safety requirements.
- Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments regularly.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
- Lead toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training programs for employees and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and government authorities regarding safety matters.
- Monitor permit-to-work systems and ensure safe execution of all site activities.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and implementation of emergency response procedures.
- Maintain all HSE documentation, records, reports, and statistics.
- Supervise and guide safety officers and safety supervisors on site.
- Conduct emergency drills and ensure site preparedness for emergencies.
- Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 20 years of experience in UAE construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and international safety standards.
- NEBOSH IGC / NEBOSH Diploma certification mandatory.
- OSHA certification preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and work under pressure.
- **Arabic speaker preferred.**
- Valid UAE driving license preferred.
