Job Title: Safety Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified full-time Safety Engineer to oversee and ensure the implementation of health and safety standards across construction sites.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe working environment, minimizing risks, and ensuring compliance with occupational safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with safety standards and 5 Star OSHS requirements.

• Ensure contractors implement safety measures and precautions effectively.

• Conduct and attend Safety Toolbox Meetings to promote safety awareness.

• Develop contingency plans for emergency situations and unexpected incidents.

• Perform risk assessments and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

• Monitor and investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.

• Review and evaluate the Contractor’s Loss Prevention Program.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

• Prepare safety reports and maintain accurate safety records.

• Coordinate with project teams to improve safety performance.

Minimum Qualification and Experience Requirements

• B.S. in Fire & Safety, Environmental Protection, Chemical Engineering, or relevant qualification with Ten (10) years’ experience in ISO 45001 Occupational Safety and Health Management System, 5 Star Safety System, or NEBOSH in project/construction site safety management, inspection, and reporting activities.

• Certificate in any one of the following:

    – ISO 45001:2018 OS&HMS (highly preferred)

    – 5 Star Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Systems

    – Safety training certificates in NEBOSH / OSHA / IOSH & First Aider

• For Saudis, Four (4) years’ experience is required as Safety Engineer or HSE Officer in construction project-related safety management.

• Experienced in working with the Unified Contract of the Saudi Energy sector.
