Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Engineer to join our construction team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment across all project sites, in compliance with local regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures on construction sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Ensure compliance with all local safety regulations and standards.
- Provide safety training and toolbox talks to workers and staff.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports.
- Coordinate with project managers and site engineers to enforce safety measures.
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, and records.
- Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
- Monitor subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Safety Engineer in construction companies.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are preferred.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in large-scale construction projects.
- Familiarity with local UAE safety regulations.
