Overview

  • Below is the Safety Coordinator Responsibilities:
  • Respond to fires and other emergencies case.
  • Conduct daily fire pumps inspection.
  • Run fire pumps weekly by test line.
  • Conduct visual inspection of all the areas and labors/staff and report in case of any safety violation/ unsafe condition or unsafe act.
  • Inspect all firefighting equipment and change expired ones and report any damage, if any.
  • Issue permit to work to all internal and external workers and regularly check and balance until the work is finished.
  • Make report in case of any violation.
  • Daily checking of all fire alarm system.
  • Prepare maintenance request and follow up.
  • Conduct daily inspections and fill in checklists and reports any violation in all locations
  • Coordinate with Third parties regarding their scheduled visits for both factories and assist them during their visit.
  • Arrange safety equipment for all departments upon their request through commercial department and maintain the stock issue and received record.
  • Investigate and report any serious/critical personal injury accidents occurring to labors, staff and/or visitors to the appropriate senior official, and assist in the investigation of all accidents/incidents that result in substantial damage to company vehicles and property.
  • Investigate report on complaints of hazardous working conditions to the Head and Manager.
  • Conduct risk assessment reports to detect potential hazards and recommend precautionary measures.
  • Respond to employees’ safety concerns.
  • Conduct the safety inspection of any area of both factories as necessary.
  • Ensure that the first aid boxes are full with necessary materials and maintain the stock for any emergency case.
  • Maintain filing and database systems related to confidential records, correspondence, files and reports.
  • Prepare routine correspondence, reports, memorandums, minutes, and related material.
  • Communicate/liaise with all departments and employees/unionized labor.
  • Contribute in promoting a positive safety culture within the organization.
  • Investigate incidents and provide corrective actions and recommendations and maintain detailed records.
  • Ability to deliver Safety Inductions and Presentations as necessary.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by line manager.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in related field
  • NEBOSH IGC Certified or equivalent
  • A recognized Health and Safety Qualification, preferably OSHA or IOSH
  • ISO 45001 internal auditor
  • Cultural awareness, valuing diversity, teamwork and cooperation, results orientation, accountability, customer focus.
  • Skills – problem solving, organizational, interpersonal, time management, computer, written and verbal communication in English.
  • Very good knowledge and skills in occupational health and safety management; knowledge in HSSE related requirements.
  • Knowledgeable of firefighting systems inspections and operating conditions
  • Well versed in MS Package
  • Process safety experience is a plus.
