Responsibilities include

  • Serve as the local roadway design leader on NCDOT and other transportation projects
  • Provide leadership in staffing, hiring, and team development to support local work
  • Oversee and support roadway design projects from preliminary through final design
  • Supervise the technical development and delivery of projects
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff
  • Coordinate with clients and support successful project execution
  • Support proposals, scopes of work, and workload planning
  • Perform QA/QC review of roadway design deliverables

The successful candidate will have

A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering, transportation engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited four-year college

A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience

Roadway design experience

Experience working on DOT transportation projects

A Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
