Overview
- Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
- Operate, monitor and troubleshoot all reprographics equipment, including photocopying, printing and binding machines.
- Produce, bind and distribute teaching and learning materials such as worksheets, examination papers, booklets and other educational resources to agreed deadlines.
- Plan and prioritise reprographics requests to ensure the timely and accurate completion of all assigned tasks.
- Carry out routine maintenance and basic repairs to ensure equipment operates efficiently and downtime is minimised.
- Monitor stock levels of printing and binding supplies and place orders as required to maintain uninterrupted service.
- Work closely with teaching and administrative staff to understand requirements and deliver reprographics services effectively.
- Provide support with the basic design and layout of printed materials when required.
- Ensure all printed output meets the school’s quality standards and presentation requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of reprographics jobs, including quantities, completion dates and specific instructions.
- Deliver basic guidance and support to staff on the safe and correct use of reprographics equipment.
- Keep up to date with developments in reprographics technology and recommend process improvements where appropriate.
- Ensure all reproduction of materials complies with copyright legislation and school policies.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the line manager, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and within agreed timescales.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent qualification; additional certification in printing technology or a related field is desirable.
- Proven experience in a reprographics or similar role, preferably within an educational environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting photocopying, printing, and binding equipment.
