About the role

Policy and governance

• Own global governance for HR policies, standards, and procedures.
• Partner with HR Centres of Excellence to maintain policies aligned with legal, regulatory, and business requirements.
• Establish approval, implementation, exception-management, and periodic-review processes; monitor compliance and maintain governance documentation.

Risk and controls

• Improve the HR Risk & Controls Framework and maintain a clearly defined, assessed, and reviewed global HR risk register.
• Drive consistent risk identification and documentation and facilitate risk workshops across HR.
• Design and oversee controls across payroll, employee relations, recruitment, and HR data privacy; assess effectiveness and support remediation.
• Partner with Internal and External Audit and Compliance; monitor and report KRIs.

Compliance and reporting

• Oversee HR compliance across recruitment, employee relations, reward, payroll, mobility, data privacy, and workforce restructuring.
• Monitor regulatory developments and work with Legal, Ethics & Compliance, Internal Audit, and Data Privacy on compliance risks.
• Support investigations, compliance reviews, and regulatory enquiries; produce compliance metrics, dashboards, and management reporting.
• Prepare risk reporting and support HR Risk Forums, including agenda, reporting packs, and action tracking.

Stakeholders and transformation

• Advise and constructively challenge HR leaders and partner with HR and wider business risk stakeholders.
• Deliver training and awareness programmes on HR controls, policy compliance, and risk management.
• Provide risk input to HR transformation initiatives and embed risk considerations into change programmes.
