Rigger
About This Role
The role ensures all lifting operations are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with site and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attach loads to cranes or lifting equipment using slings, chains, shackles, and other rigging gear
- Inspect and ensure all rigging equipment is in safe working condition before use
- Signal or direct crane operators during lifting and positioning operations
- Calculate load weight and determine appropriate rigging methods
- Ensure proper balance and secure load before lifting
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid Rigger certification (e.g., Level 1, 2, or 3 depending on project requirement)
- Knowledge of rigging tools, lifting techniques, and safety standards
- Ability to read lifting plans and basic load calculations
- Good physical fitness and ability to work at heights
