Resident Engineer - Landscape

Role purpose

Construction supervision

• Supervise hardscape, softscape, irrigation, water features, site furnishings, and external works.
• Review contractor submissions, method statements, material submittals, shop drawings, and work programs.
• Monitor progress, identify potential delays, recommend corrective actions, and conduct site inspections.
• Ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, regulations, and quality standards.

Quality, contracts, and coordination

• Implement project quality assurance and quality control procedures; review or witness landscape and irrigation testing, commissioning, and inspections.
• Identify non-conforming work, ensure timely rectification, verify materials, and approve completed work against specifications.
• Assist with interim payment reviews and certification; review variation requests, claims, and site instructions and support commercial assessment of changes.
• Maintain site records and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, meetings, clients, authorities, utility providers, and stakeholders.
• Provide progress updates and technical reports to project management and clients.

Health, safety, and environment

• Promote and enforce site health, safety, and environmental requirements and ensure contractor compliance with project HSE procedures.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions when required.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 15 years of relevant landscape construction supervision and project delivery experience.
• Experience on large-scale landscape, public realm, mixed-use, infrastructure, hospitality, or master-planned community projects.
• Engineering consultancy or PMC experience is preferred; GCC or UAE experience is highly desirable.
• Relevant professional registration or institutional membership is advantageous.

Technical skills

• Strong knowledge of landscape construction methods, horticulture, irrigation systems, hardscape materials, and public realm works.
• Sound understanding of FIDIC contracts and construction administration; proficient in reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Familiarity with local authority regulations and approval processes; working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project management software.

Pay

• The description states AED 1.00–2.00 per month.
