Full-time, on-site Resident Engineer role in Dubai, UAE, working six days per week.
Oversee construction activities to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards, requiring extensive civil engineering and construction management experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily construction operations and ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate construction teams, subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders; lead engineers, inspectors, and site execution personnel.
- Guide the contractor to meet project and local authority requirements.
- Monitor HSE practices and quality with assigned managers; inspect work and resolve deficiencies.
- Maintain schedules and milestones; monitor expenditures, manage costs, and approve invoices and change orders as needed.
- Maintain construction logs, progress reports, and correspondence; identify risks and implement solutions.
- Ensure compliance with local codes and safety standards through regular site inspections; maintain positive client relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- At least 15 years of construction, engineering, and management experience focused on large-scale residential projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
- Requires leadership, proactive judgment, understanding of construction methods, project management proficiency, communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
