Full-time, six-day-per-week Assistant Resident Engineer – Architectural position located in Dubai, UAE.
Responsibilities
- Supervise architectural site work for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and local regulations.
- Review architectural and shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements against design intent and project requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, structural and MEP engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve design and construction issues.
- Monitor finishes, façade systems, waterproofing, and other architectural elements for compliance with approved materials and quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections; review work and material inspection requests; verify work against approved drawings and specifications.
- Record inspections, site observations, non-conformance reports, and construction progress; report to the Resident Engineer.
- Address differences between approved design documents and site conditions, resolving technical and coordination issues.
- Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, applicable building codes, project specifications, and industry practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture is mandatory.
- At least 10 years of overall experience, including at least 7 years in Dubai.
- Experience on large-scale villa and townhouse community developments is required.
- Relevant experience as a Site Architect, Project Architect, Design Architect, Senior Architect, or Assistant Resident Engineer – Architectural, including site supervision.
- Consultancy experience in Dubai and knowledge of local building codes, authority requirements, and construction practices.
- Strong ability to interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, material specifications, and construction details.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant architectural software.
- Strong communication and coordination skills; ability to resolve issues while maintaining project quality and design integrity.
Work arrangement
- The position is located in Dubai, UAE, and involves architectural construction site supervision.
- The role is full time and follows a six-day work week.
