Role overview
Support a university CubeSat mission over a one-year period.
The role covers systems design, requirements and interfaces, integration, verification, and Assembly–Integration–Test (AIT).
Work with faculty, engineers, and student teams, providing technical guidance and helping deliver a professionally developed, tested, and documented spacecraft.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace, electrical, computer, mechanical, or systems engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- Experience with complex hardware development, such as spacecraft, avionics, embedded systems, or similar.
- Working knowledge of requirements, interface control, verification, and test planning and execution.
- Strong technical writing, organization, and communication skills.
Preferred qualifications
- CubeSat or small-satellite project experience in university or industry settings.
- Familiarity with spacecraft subsystems, including EPS, ADCS, COMMS, OBC/CDH, and payloads.
- Experience mentoring students, leading small technical teams, or supporting educational labs.
- Exposure to structured engineering processes, including review gates, verification matrices, and configuration management.
